In Dearborn, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Michigan vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–6:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Big Ray's Quick Lube at (313) 582-0404; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 1,735 reviews, which is a strong result for an oil change service in Dearborn and suggests consistent service.

Easiest experience! Amo Sam and his team do an exceptional job in making sure my car is in its best shape while getting me in and out quickly. Every time they change my oil, they explain what’s going into my car, and check on my washer fluid, air filters, etc. and fix them up as needed. This is a very honest and efficient shop and I highly recommend!

For a first time visit, astonished and even gleefully smiling right now. Service was quick as others have told me. Informed of my Air filter needing a change alongside my coolant too. Told about the average miles / year or years before either would need changes. Even given a water bottle & a car freshener. This, amongst many others areas that were completed. Will definitely become a regular.

Big Ray’s is hands down the best place I’ve found for an oil change. I bring both of my vehicles here, and every time the service is fast, professional, and reliable. The staff is always friendly and respectful, and they take the time to make sure everything is done right without trying to upsell things you don’t need. What I really appreciate is how efficient they are, you can tell they value your time. I’m usually in and out quickly, but they still do a thorough job and check everything over. It’s hard to find a place you can trust with your vehicles, but Big Ray’s has definitely earned my trust. If you’re looking for a place with great service, honest people, and quick oil changes, I highly recommend Big Ray’s. I won’t take my vehicles anywhere else.
